Once again, it's on; the FIFTH annual #BRP50 list is here! We're back with our annual look at the Top 50 Black pro wrestlers currently working in the squared circle. As usual, we look at where these wrestlers stack up over the last calendar year (the #BRP50 for 2023 goes from May 2022 to May 2023). For anyone wondering, here is a look at the criteria that goes into making a list like this—now it's time for YOU to see where everyone lands.

When we got Charlette and Robyn, aka the Renegade Twins, on BRP back in May of 2022, it was refreshing to unpack many facets of their in-ring persona, from the Jordans on their feet to the way they dap up before matches. Since then, the sinister sisters have done it all—including holding the CCW Tag Team Championship for over a year, as well as capturing the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship back in February of 2023. This was all while being booked and blessed everywhere from Ladies' Night Out to AEW, where they made regular appearances on Dark, Dark Elevation, and Rampage. 

With the way information flows, King Tre D of We Luv Wrestling was the first person I ever saw talking to the Renegade Twins, and over the years, he has become vital part of the creation of our annual #BRP50 list. With 2023 being the year that the Renegade Twins made the 50 (Robyn and Charlette hold the 26th and 27th spots, respectively), it made sense to get an exclusive We Luv Wrestling conversation with the Twins. While the third-annual #BRP50 dropped this past Juneteenth, The Black Rasslin' Podcast and We Luv Wrestling-presented "After The 50" list—a list conceived to both a) shine a light on Black professional wrestlers we love who were just outside of the #BRP50 and b) make you realize that there are way more than just 50 Black professional wrestlers out there—just dropped this past week. The 2020 #BRP50's After the 50 List was presented in collaboration with Black Wrestling Alliance, and featured the likes of Calvin Tankman, Kayden Carter, Leon Ruff, and plenty others. This year, after building with We Luv Wrestling and recognizing their dedication to the world of pro wrestling, it just made sense to collaborate with them on this project.
