In looking over research for this quick drop, I just realized that the Prime Time Players had been allies since February of 2012. They broke them up practically two years to the day of their first tag team matches on NXT Redemption. Why? Who knows; I'd venture a guess that the WWE couldn't give a shit.

I'm extremely confused as to why they waited so long. If they wanted to show that they were upset and gung ho, why not let him go last week, at least? Things looked all good, he was at ringside - albeit tamer than normal - and doing his thing. He's reverted to going back to his real name (Brian Jossie), and you can follow him on twitter at @BJRatedR. WWE, AW Apologize For Kobe Bryant Joke
While I did post the video of AW putting the shoe to Kofi last night,I didn't go into the whole "like Kobe Bryant at a hotel room in Colorado ... he's unstoppable" line regarding Titus O'Neil that he threw out during last night's Raw, mainly because I wanted to see how quickly (if at all) he and the WWE would apologize. It's referencing the 2003 rape case Kobe went through for smashing that chick in his hotel room, and no matter if it's nine years old, it was in poor taste - and definitely something I'm glad my own five year old didn't have to hear and then ask me questions about afterwards. AW is said to have immediately apologized to both the McMahnon family and wrestlers backstage (as well as on twitter), and promised something like this wouldn't happen again. TMZ has since picked up on it, and WWE immediately commented on "taking the appropriate action in the matter", whatever that means. Hopefully it doesn't result in AW's termination, although with the fire at the arena before Raw (due to some kind of issue with the Titantron) and this incident, the WWE picked up the kind of media coverage they'd rather not receive. And in the second week of three hour Raws, in an already hectic backstage area, none of this helps. How do things like this happen, though?

Shad Gaspard Has Beef With The Prime Time Players
While I have to admit that Darren Young & Titus O'Neil's "Prime Time Players" name does sound a lot like "Cryme Tyme", the tag team that featured former WWE superstar Shad Gaspard and JTG, I'm not sure that's enough to warrant the vitrol Shad spit on twitter at both Titus and Darren in what he considers to be gimmick infringement. Keep in mind that the WWE owns all of this - he's seriously upset, even dropping #CRYMETYME4L on twitter. And we won't go into the minstrel show that Black Rasslers get thrown in weekely on WWE programming... not now, anyways. And truth be told, Shad left on his own, or doesn't have ill will towards leaving, right? Is it this serious, you that jealous? Aside from the name, what do Darren and Titus do that Cryme Tyme was doing? In any case, hit the jump for Shad's twitter rant/rap.
