The Original Gangsta New Jack has passed away. Word came from PWInsider.com on Friday afternoon that New Jack (real name Jerome Young) suffered a heart attack earlier that afternoon in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was 58. 

New Jack's wife, Jennifer, informed PWInsider of Jack's passing. The internet has been paying tribute with loads of memories of the controversial pro wrestler, who was in Season 2 of Vice's Dark Side of the Ring; one of the early 2020 quarantine highlights was watching that episode as a family. 

It's hard to really break down the real story of New Jack. It sounds like his wife is attempting to settle  his affairs, and there's likely more to know about his relationship with his kids. CNN reports that Jennifer wrote the following on Facebook: ""For all the outpouring of love from family, friends, and fans- I'm totally blown away. Jerome was not only my husband, he was my best friend and I'm completely gutted. He loved a lot of you very much, and you'll never know how much I appreciate the love."

Right now, many are just remembering his work in the ring—which itself has its own twists and turns, as violent and horrific as his most infamous matches. New Jack was as real as it came; Kaz himself tweeted, "One of the most electric gimmicks of all time because it was for sure not a gimmick." That's real. He lived his truth, and always gave the people a show. It's also interesting to note that, even though their relationship was what it was, Paul Heyman—the man who helped New Jack thrive—took the time out to pay tribute. Still surprised the WWE even covered it, to be honest.

Now this is kind of crazy. There are a number of men who lay claim to being ECW Legends, but when you look at the death-defying, totally brutal side of what became Extreme Championship Wrestling, New Jack embodied that. Dude legit came to the ring with a sadistic bucket of mayhem and would fuck people the fuck up.

A new article hit Grantland this week, and it looks like New Jack is saying that at 52, he's retired. Good for him, and what would've been his potential victims. Check out some of New Jack's greatest hits below.

Looks like New Jack recently did an interview with RF Video addressing Abdullah the Buther's numerous incidents regarding Abdullah's bloody style of work and the accusations that Abdullah possibly spread Hep C to others involved in these matches with him. New Jack don't take no mess. I had been hearing that Tammy Sytch (aka Sunny) had recently drank soemthing like two gallons of vodka and was ultimately sent to the ER and to rehab for her substance abuse issues. After the ER visit, she conducted an in-depth, personal shoot interview with RF Video (full details via Wrestlezone), and spoke on her relationship with the late Chris Candido, including issues of cheating on him with other wrestlers (a bigger part of her sexual past within the industry). Apparently New Jack heard about some of the things she said about Chris on the shoot and ethered her on Rob Feinstein's Facebook page, as well as dropping some gems on Terri Runnels as well. This has to be read to be believed, so hit the jump for the fire. And don't even piss off New Jack.

I had heard (and was tweeting) on Monday morning about a fight New Jack and Balls Mahoney got into backstage at this weekend's Extreme Rising show in Philly. Word is that these two had been beefing since an argument at the Extreme Rising show in April, and escalated when Balls went on some DVD interview using "the n-word" several times. Balls says he got permission from New Jack to drop the n-word, but New Jack basically said "I'll see you when I see you". It's being reported that New Jack attacked Balls with 12 hard shots, but Balls was in a defensive stance so while he wasn't seriously injured, he did get busted open and has some swelling on his face. Thing is, New Jack grabbed a machete (how the hell did he get a machete in the building?!) and approached Balls, but security in the back broke it up. Balls stayed in a room for the remainder of the night, and word is that these two have settled their issue, but what the hell?!

I'm surprised Balls even felt like he could drop the n-word - I'm assuming it was some shoot where he was either imitating New Jack or thinking he was cool enough to use the word? Who knows. Why he would even think to test someone like New Jack, who has legit killed men and gotten away with, and has no problem putting on some of the most brutal matches in history, is beyond me. Hopefully we get to hear New Jack's side at some point.

The happy home is gone.

Some major shit is going down between former ECW star New Jack and former WWE Diva Terri Runnels. The couple have split and are now airing their dirty laundry in the street via facebook. I am not Terri Runnels' fb friend but I am New Jacks. Here's the details I have discovered so far lol..

New Jack's fb note entitled "SHE DREW FIRST BLOOD!!... NOW TERRI RUNNELS IS TOAST!!"

In response to Terri Runnels and the garbage she is saying

1. I left Terri because she is an bi-polar alcoholic who gets every morning at 5:30 to make a very stiff vodka and cranberry..... EVERY MORNING!!

2. She's hooked on percs,,,, BAD!!

3. She is very big liar and the Terri Runnels that you(the world) know is totally different from who I had to deal with. She not that little sweet innocent girl she pretends to be.

4. Her house is in foreclosure (public record) and been there for 2 years and she thought I was gonna be her savior.

5. She doesn't want a man. She wants a butler and or driver.

6. She let her daughter bring a online stranger over for Christmas without checking him out. (WHAT KIND OF PARENT IS THAT)

.. BUT ONE THE MAIN REASONS IS THAT I FOUND OUT (the hard way) THAT SHE HAD HERPES SINCE SHE WAS 18 AND HAD NO PROBLEMS HIDING FROM PEOPLE WHILE HAVING UNPROTECTED SEX. I'M WAITING FOR MY TEST RESULTS ...UPDATES COMING)
