Latest News On Kharma's Release
While I'd read earlier this week that Kharma did indeed confirm to a fan, via Twitter, that she had been released from the WWE, no official confirmation from the WWE or Kharma has been done. I touched on that briefly during the latest blackrasslin podcast, but in reading this week's Wrestling Observer, this nugget of info from Dave Meltzer was found: "The situation with Kharma is that she was in Florida training to return, but got the knock for being out of shape, hard to work with and stubborn about suggestions of how they wanted her to change her character. She had been losing weight".
So it might not just be that Creative had nothing for her, but that they had nothing for her in her current persona, and maybe she didn't want to leave that persona behind? I can see the out of shape bit, as she was pregnant and out for a while, damn near a year. Still... damn. I'll update when we get the final word/more info.

The Latest On Kharma/WWE
Without official word, sources say that Kharma is no longer with the WWE. It ends up coming down to Creative having nothing to give her in terms of a push/storyline: per the F4W newsletter, "she was scheduled to come back a few months ago and destroy both Bellas to win the Women's title, but when word got out on the Internet WWE canceled the angle". Which is stupid. I have heard that the WWE has done this numerous times, so they can swerve the Internets, but really, this was a year-long angle sitting right there for them. Now they've squandered the opportunity, and advised Kharma to "to clear her head, but that the door was wide open for her to return". I figure she either takes that advice and waits it out or goes to Japan and makes some bread a few tours a year.
The constant misuse of quality Black talent within the WWE is astonishing to me. And it has to end.

Kharma Officially Moved To WWE Alumni Page
Without any word of WHY this was done, if you hit the WWE Alumni roster page and hit the letter K, you will see that Kharma's profile has officially been moved. This move would certainly dash any hopes of a return anytime soon, one would think. Or, again, this could be some big ploy. No new info from her twitter or anywhere else as of right now. I'm pulling for this just being a ruse (as I have been since word hit yesterday), but these things have been seen to signal superstars moving on. As per usual, I'll update with more info when I see it. Sad day for fans of Black Rasslers, though.

We'll give you more on this story as it develops.
EDIT For what it's worth, TMZ reporter Ryan Satin is saying he has credible sources telling him that Kharma has indeed been released from the WWE. Wrestling Observer is stating that the moving of her profile to the Alumni section was a mistake, as it's now back in the active roster section, although they believe there's more to it than this. No official word on Kharma's status with the WWE is known at this time, but some stories are going around. Keep it locked as we continue to bring you more info.
EDIT The plot thickens. Dave Meltzer took to the F4W message boards and had this to say: "I don't want to say anything, because it's WWE and they change their minds if stuff gets out,... But she was to be released tomorrow, and they're pissed somebody screwed up and it got out a day early". Eerily similar to how word got online about the FCW shutting down turned into "dirtsheets be lyin'", and they revamped their developmental fed. The day is early, so we'll see if Kharma does get released today. If not, maybe this could work in her favor... Continue Reading

Creative Has Nothing For Kharma
...but I'm not too mad. I read that the WWE isn't sure about how they want to bring Kharma back in - but they want to bring her back in. Word is they want her in as a face, and want to do a feud with Beth Phoenix, but they want to build it over time and not rush into it. I'd say there's no time like the present. Creative doesn't really book the Divas division too intricately, so it can't be hard to do some scare tactics/run-ins with Beth interrupting Kharma's return, but I definitely appreciate them wanting to take time with it.
The obvious fear is that the writing staff will just not come with it, and have her debut at some awkward B-show. If this were me, I'd be trying my hardest to get Kharma vs. Phoenix for SummerSlam, as that would be pretty money on a card that should alreayd have Lesnar/HHH on it. Just makes sense for a big Divas title match. And they'd have abotu a month and a half to work it. Time will tell - I just hope they don't wait too long and totally sink the match.

Kharma's In Training
Kharma recently tweeted this picture of her in training mode. Looks like she's getting back in prime shape (well, as prime as that mastadon can be in), but hopefully WWE Creative has something planned for her. As of what I heard (and reported on a previous episode of the podcast), they have nothing for her. It's June, though, so I can only hope she's around for a lead-up to SummerSlam in August.
